December 2023 – May 2024
CodeBrave at three schools in South Lebanon
Coding has shifted how students think. Their engagement in class is remarkable now, a stark contrast to the previous chaos we had before. For instance, one student, who was on the verge of dropping out due to low grades, was the first to solve a problem that was presented in coding class the other day. That moment made my heart swell with pride and confirmed that with tech education, these students have a strong desire to learn and can thrive. This programme is really a golden opportunity for a school like ours. It has finally allowed us to provide our students with the same opportunities that are often exclusive to private school students – opportunities they deserve too.

In December 2023, CodeBrave began upskilling nine teachers at three public or underserved schools in South Lebanon with our 30-hour teacher training programme. Teachers began independently delivering coding, robotics, and AI classes in that same academic year to more than 380 students using CodeBrave’s curriculum.
This project was made possible thanks to the generous funding from the British and Foreign School Society.
