What started as a one time STEM hackathon turned into an ongoing tech education project at Tahaddi School (“challenge” in Arabic) in Hay El Gharbeh, Beirut since 2022. We now teach around 50 students aged 11-14 two coding classes per week. They are currently learning the essentials of programming and practicing problem solving while expressing themselves creatively in our Junior Coder course.
Tahaddi School is a non-governmental organisation that provides quality education for children and youths from vulnerable communities. They offer them the skills, knowledge, and values they need to build a better future for themselves and their communities. They focus on providing a holistic education that addresses their needs.
