October 2022 – present
CodeBrave at Tahaddi Non Formal Education Centre in Beirut
What started as a one time STEM hackathon turned into an ongoing tech education project at Tahaddi (“challenge” in Arabic), a non-formal education centre in Hay El Gharbeh, Beirut since 2022. We now teach around 50 students aged 11-14 two coding classes per week. They are currently learning the essentials of programming and practicing problem solving while expressing themselves creatively in our Junior Coder course.
Tahaddi is a non-governmental organisation that provides quality education for children and youths from vulnerable communities. They offer them the skills, knowledge, and values they need to build a better future for themselves and their communities. They focus on providing a holistic education that addresses their needs.
