Our STEM Hackathons
In 2022, CodeBrave started running STEM hackathon to raise awareness of tech education amongst a broader group of children and youth who are not in our Core Projects. These hackathons also allow us to discover more schools to partner with for core projects or teacher coaching and increase our pool of applicants for CodeBrave Scholars.
So far, we have reached 87 children and introduced them to the basics of coding and robotics, 50 of which are now receiving our CodeBrave Curriculum at school starting the 2022/2023 school year.
30 students from the Tahaddi non formal education centre discovered and learned the basics of coding for the first time during an awareness-raising event at BDD.
28 students from a partner school immersed themselves during three days in the field of agritech in our first STEM awareness raising event.
